Herb was a quiet guy with me until he knew he could tease me. Then the gloves came off and his witt was unleashed. He was so spunky and funny. He took it as well as he dished out too! We had the best times poking at each other and then, out-of-the-blue, one of us would be genuinely warm and kind and say something sweet to the other. It would take the other one a moment to redirect our brainwaves as we probably had just come up with a great retort, only to be blindsided by some tender...

Dearest Herb, The times we were together will remain fun memories, especially house-shopping. I loved seeing your sense of humor in action, and your love for Mary, Kathy and Pastor. You were such a wonderful man...definitely one-of-a-kind!

What a wonderful time we had when he & Marianne came baked cookies with the youth at my house. He will be so missed. I loved his humor.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Herbert but my older brother and sister knew him as we live in Boone Grove.
