Herbert Paeth

GASTON%%Memorial services for Herbert F. Paeth, 71, of Gaston, SC, will be held at 11am Saturday, January 29, 2005, in Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Columbia, SC, officiated by Pastor Vance Fossum. As per Herb’s wishes, casual dress is requested. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, SC is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.

Mr. Paeth died Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of Otto and Anna Albrecht Paeth. Formerly of Naples, NY, he had been an area resident since 1999. Mr. Paeth was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and was retired from Eastman Kodak. Herb will be remembered for his self-sacrificing nature and his wonderful sense of humor. He was a faithful husband and devoted father and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his wife, Geraldine “Geri” Geuder Paeth of Gaston, SC; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Jimmy Nash of Gansevoort, NY, Laurie and JR Capozzi of Madisonville, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Sue Paeth of Farmington, NY, Brian and Sharon Paeth of Lexington, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Ellie and Ron Graupman of Churchville, NY; sister-in-law, Naomi Paeth of Ft. Myers, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marty and Nancy Paeth of Rochester, NY, Bill and Cathy Craw of N. Chili, NY; and nine grandchildren. Mr. Paeth was preceded in death by one grandson.
