Not sure what to say?

Dear Anne: I just received the Department newsletter and read of Herb's death. My deepest condolences of his loss. I have thought of you both fondly over the years; Herb's class was a highpoint of my time at Miami (and you were the best officemate ever).

Dear Anne,

I was so sorry to hear about Herb's passing. He was a real giant in our field. In addition, he was a fine person and gentle human being. My heartfelt sympathies. Ron

I published my first, first authored paper in JACP and I remember Herb as such an encouraging and supportive editor. His impact was wide and positive. Charlotte

A very sad loss of an inspiring colleague and loyal friend. My love and sympathy to Anne.

My very best to the family during this difficult time. Herb was a great inspiration to me in my career and it is a significant loss to the field.

Dear Anne
I was so sorry to hear of Herb's passing. Besides being a giant in the field, he was such a gracious person! It was a comfort to know he was out there for advice and mentoring. I'm glad I had the opportunity through ISRCAP to get to know him. In sympathy, Gaye Carlson

My sincerest condolences to the Quay Family for the loss of your loved one, Herbert, and pray you find comfort in Psalms 91:2.

To all the family,

May God comfort you in this time of sadness.

A long time class mate of Herb, Al Roberts

Please accept our heartfelt sympathy over the loss of Herbert. We pray that God grant you strength to endure and hope to see him again soon (John 6:40).
