Herb was a good, kind, thoughtful,
generous friend of mine for 30 years. His talent on piano and his seemingly endless repertoire of music was nothing short of amazing. Our mutual love of music and our mutual love of dogs went a long way to cement our relationship and I don't hesitate to say that in anyone's lifetime, seldom will you know anyone as gracious as Herb Rice and he is greatly missed.

Herbie was our neighbor and lived across the street from us for 4 years before buying a new home around the corner for the last year of his life. He was a kind soul who kept to himself but when you got him taking he would tell amazing stories about his time in the Coast Guard and playing music in California. Our family will miss seeing him pass by on his way to play music for what he called the old folks He was truly one of a kind.

Hub was born one day after my late husband Deane, and was a longtime friend. Enjoyed him as a wonderful pianist and a lunch-time companion. So sorry to learn of his loss. He led a long and full life.
