Not sure what to say?

I was sitting at my desk in Laconia, NH putting a battery in my SEIKO clock that your father gave me some 25 years ago. I handled the group insurance for Cambridge Computer and I always dealt with your Dad. We had a great business friendship and I think of him often as I look at my clock. I just found out about his passing as I searched the internet. What a GREAT guy.

Leigh and Robb,

I just found out about your father passing. I'm very sorry for your loss, my sincere condolences to you and your family.

Dear Ellen, Rob and Leigh:

We heard the sad news about Herb's passing just this week. We are so sorry for your loss. Herb was one of the kindest man we know and we are priviledged to have called him a friend. Although he was taken from all of us so suddenly and way too soon, memories of his high spirit and energy will live on in our minds forever with fondness, love and respect. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Schachter Family,

We were so sad to learn of Herb's passing. This was one of Michael's first tournaments and Herb immediately made an impression on us. We treasured his sense of humor and appreciated just how much he cared about all of the kids. He kept his priorities in the right order and taught many valuable lessons about sportsmanship and character. He will be greatly missed by so many. We send our sincere condolences.

Robb,
We are so sorry about your loss. We were so surprised when we heard about Herb. He was a kind and generous man and will be missed. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I took both my sons to tournaments at Nashua for many years and recall with pleasure seeing Herb at many of them. He performed an invaluable service for junior tennis in New England and for the many young men and women who played at the club. His calm approach and friendly attitude made it a comfortable place to play, and his passing is a great loss.
