Not sure what to say?

I stumbled upon this place quite by accident.

Herb Semmelmeyer was a neighbor of ours growing up. To me, he was a replica of John Wayne in strength and composure. He was always nice and polite to us kids, even though we were the rabble rousers of the neighborhood, stirring up trouble whenever we could.

It's always sad when people like this pass on. Sorry for the family's loss.

I'll always cherish the fun times I had playing golf with Big Herb as we were usually partners or rode in the same golf cart. When we first starting playing together he brought out some really old clubs he had used at least 30 years previously. Real wooden drivers and such. I worked with Herb at the agency for a few years prior to his retirement-what a great guy, very kind. Often he and Barbara were in my thoughts, loved the Christmas Cards sent from their various travels. Will be missed dearly-Deborah Abrahamsen Bussman

I will always be blessed that I was able to visit him during his brief illness and have a chance to say goodbye and that I loved him. This is a reminder for all of us to take the time, and visit our loved ones; we should never stop letting them know how much we appreciate and love them. You will be missed by all Herb. Until we meet again, “Swing hard in case you hit it

This a rememberence of life. Uncle Herb was someone whi embraced active life from the golf game he loved to the high Sierra cabin he viewed the simple life. I remember him as a youth helping me fly model planes in the neighborhood in Portland Oregon and then as a gracious host who welcomed us on our western trip to meet all my side of the family and let my wife Connie see for the first time the hospitality of our western family. Uncle Herb will be sorely missed. His wit, charm, and...
