SHAPIRO--Herbert, 93, of Manhattan, died February 19 of Covid-19. A visionary educator and artist, beloved by his children, Michael, James and Jill; his sister Barbara Snyder; his daughters-in-law, Susan Chira and Mary Cregan; and his grandchildren, Eliza, Jay, and Luke.
