Not sure what to say?

To David!
I arrived in the United States in 1967 and a few days later I was working for your father as his Personal Secretary. I learned so much from him about real estate development, how franchises work, and about how business works here. He was a great mentor for me and I am very grateful for the experience. I know that he loved his family above everything. David I do hope that you have found your passion in life as your father did.

My husband and I were just discussing our wedding 40 years ago and reminiscing about our trip to Finland and Sweden and my traveling with Herb over to the Carrols restaurants there. My husband, W. Curtis Smith, worked for your Dad as Director of Franchising at that time.Prior to our marriage, I was an employee there as well and he met us there for the opening of the Finland restaurant. Praying for your family. May the peace of God be with you.

Sending my condolences to you and yours on the loss of your father. May he rest in peace. I graduated from Nottingham in 1968.

So, so sorry for your loss. Its been many years since Mr. Slotnick and I were 'office neighbors' at the Atrium...but so, so enjoyed his company. At the time he was designing a beautiful home for his wife in Florida...he was so proud and excited to show the plans and progress. Many a cup of tea was sipped over those plans! Mr. Slotnick...such a class act. It was a pleasure to have met and shared the occasional cup of tea with him. Heaven is getting quite the gentleman!

I have such fond memories of Herb in the house on Brookford Rd, the car rides as a kid, and later, talking business over drinks in NYC. Jo and Herb were close friends of my parents, Joan and Manny Rubenstein. Our thoughts are with you all. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Mel, I am so sorry for your loss. Please extend my condolences to your family. Roz Shaw
(Wife of now deceased Tom Shaw)
