STRATTON, Herbert – Of Mt. Morris, age 57, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor.



 



Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.



 



Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association.



 



Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.



 



Visitation 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.



 



Herbert was born in Flint, Michigan on June 7, 1959, the son of George and Elsie (Klinesmith) Stratton and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life.



 



He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1977-1980.



 



On September 11, 2008 he married Debra C. Ross.



 



Mr. Stratton was employed by Windstream Communications. He enjoyed his family, westerns, sports and was an avid U of M football fan. He regularly donated to Old Newsboys.



 



Surviving are wife, Debra;



 



three children, Rachel (Aric) Sisk,



Sarah Stratton and



Daniel Stratton;



 



five grandchildren, Natalie, Zachary, Michael, Tyler and Barrett;



 



one grandson on the way;



mother, Elsie Stratton;



two brothers.



 



He was preceded in death by his father, George.

Im So Sorry for your loss, Herb will be missed by all. Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to you.

I remember Herb as very pleasant, even-tempered and genuinely nice to speak with.

Herb was a great person to work with. He was very knowledgeable, so kind and would always go above and beyond. He will be missed by many. Thinking of his family during this sad time.

I'm sorry to hear of Herb's passing. He was always one of my favorite techs to work with. Even when things were going horribly wrong he was fun to work with. I'll honestly and sincerely miss getting to talk to Herb.

I had the privilege of working with Herb for several years. He was an outstanding guy that always had a positive attitude and was well liked by all that knew him.
Rest easy Herb, you have earned it.

So very sorry for your families loss...Herb was just the best guy ever.....Will always have a smile when I think.of him.....he will be missed.
