Herbert Clendenin Thornton Jr.

I am sorry to hear about Herb's passing. In 1994 he and his crew built a log cabin for me and my late wife Sarah while, at the same time, building a log cabin for Ralph Edwards. I remember him as a fun loving man and an honest contractor. Herb will be missed and he is a fond memory for me and will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace old friend.

I am just now hearing of Herbs passing. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss and will be sending prayers! Our whole family thought so highly of Herb in the short time we got to know him and go down the building our house adventure! I was so saddened when Iris called me about my cousin Herb's passing. But knowing that he is with our Blessed Lord and Savior gives us joy. I remember my brother, Howard, his wife, Betty and I having lunch with him and Lucindy after the funeral for my brother in Lawndale.

It was shocking to hear about Herb's passing away. He was a jolly and good man. That care about everybody. He will be greatly missed.

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. We will always remember Mr. Herb for his kindness and wisdom. God bless his soul!

Praise the Lord, Herb is with the Lord he loves so much and has that glorified body. His knees and feet don't hurt him anymore and even know he is looking into the face of the One who loves him and gave Himself for him. I know you feel great sorry and already miss him so much, but we sorry not like the world for we have great joy mixed with our sorry knowing that Herb is where he has longed to be for so many years and that we have the same hope of soon being there as well.
