Not sure what to say?

News of Herbs passing came as a sad shock.
I had the pleasure of working with him for a number of years at the Pike County Sheriffs Office, we worked closely through the D.A.R.E. program. He was a top notch mentor and the kids adored him.
He was a truly great man, with a grand sense of humor.
My thoughts go out to you all, as well as my deepest sympathy.

As a kid growing up in Bridgeton, and a police officer hired not long after he left Bridgeton Police Department, I did have the pleasure of meeting Herb, and as a teenager, he was able to help me through a difficult time. It's always sad to lose a member of the Bridgeton PD family. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and relatives.

It was a pleasure working with Herb. He was someone who performed his job well and could be counted on when the going got tough (June 1979) but most of my memories of Herb are of a nice and kind person, a person it was a pleasure to be around and to work with. My sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Dear Karen, Tracy and Kristen,
Always remember we love you guys very much, and will forever. Herb was a great, terrific and wonderful brother to me. Josh and Jake just loved him so much. We all will forever have wonderful memories of our Thanksgiving dinners,& summer picnics at your house, forever in our hearts...We cry and laugh these past few days, remembering Herb and how he always made us laugh constantly when we were with him. He always showed us so much love and laughter...

He was a great man that will be deeply missed.

Herb was a kind and caring man who was a public servant in every aspect. Always putting others before himself. Willing to step up to the plate when there was a need. A true servant. I will miss him along with the NEPERG members.

Herb was a man of which I had great respect. His professionalism was always present as we worked together, but more so, Herb was a kind and caring man who treated me with the same consideration as he expected for himself. Never selfish, always placing duty first. I will truely miss him.
