Herbert Wells passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada. The obituary was featured in Las Vegas Review-Journal on April 4, 2010.
I'm sorry it took me this long to check up on Mr. Wells. He will be missed. Herb was my college advisor and my first engineering instructor (1969-74). I'm one of the many students he convinced to become an engineer. Thank you. It has served me well.

I was shocked to see Dr. Wells passed. I was part of his last full semester in 2009. Age never slowed this man down. Dr. Wells was a walking library. I learned more from his class than all of my other classes put together. Dr. Wells survives through all of his students. I am sad that I will not have the opportunity to have another class with him.
