Happy New Year Herb - RIP

Pamela, Benjamin, Michael, Nicole, Melany & Jo

To Pamela, Yes of course I remember you.
To Herb, I think of you each and everyday and it is hard for me to get used to the concept that you are gone. I unfortunately did not meet your kids like you met my youngest 2. In fact I never knew you were a professional boxer until you showed me your tapes. I just now wish we had not drifted apart for so long then I would have more memories to reflect on......
please keep resting in peace, Herb
Your friend as always, John Geoghegan

Happy Birthday Herb!

I am still surprised that you had a professional boxing career that I did not know about or I would have been at some of the fights as well. It was nice to come over and see some of the game films you had from the wild world of sports back in your heyday- well take care up there and see you...

Damn Herb! I didn't know you were gone! I was trying to make my semi annual call to you just to catch up and thank you again for getting me into boxing and cleaning up my life. Someone else had your number. I also want you to know your advice was great. You retired from boxing and suggested I not turn professional. You said I had the best jab and great foot work, but a better mind. It was a good choice and good advice. I enjoyed sparring with you. And I became a white collar professional. I...

Yes it has been a year and Herbie you are still here in our hearts. I apologize for calling you Herbie but that is the name I knew you by many years ago, rest easy my friend the struggle of life is but a memory for you in your new existence. I think about you everytime I work out and all the fun we had working out in my parents garage in Potomac while helping ourselves to the beer machine afterwards, I am forever sorry to have missed your boxing career and your dedication, determination and...
