It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Herlene Johnson of Moncks Corner, SC, who entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her children, Elder Betty Haynes Richardson (Leroy), Saleemah Shaheed (Omar), Melvin Johnson, Jr. (Ann), Kenneth V. Johnson (Octavia), Dr. Danny Johnson (Cynthia), and Anthony Johnson (Dana) raised as a son, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Melvin Johnson, Sr., and children, Dorothy C. Lloyd and Marion Glenn Johnson.
Home Going Service will be held Monday, July 17, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Greater Emanuel AME Church, 1174 Doctor Evans Road, Moncks Corner, SC. Interment will be in Cordesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be no viewing after the service.
