So sorry to hear about Uncle Hermie. Peace with with you all

We were so surprised to see the obit in the paper for Herman. The last time we saw him - albeit a year ago - he seemed so robust and his normal outgoing and friendly self. We always enjoyed chatting with him at the ACT functions. We're thinking of you and your extended family at this very sad time. With deepest sympathy,

I too referred to Herman as "Uncle Hermie". Another generation of lumberman now gone; my dad 10 years ago and now Herman. Herman was a fine gentleman. I think he and my Dad felt our companies weren't competitors, we were intertwined together and were always there to help each other. That's something very rare and you don't see in today's world. I'm sure Will feels the same way as I, we were taught by two of the best and they lead by example.

I loved and will miss Uncle Hermie. He was one of a kind and I have many memories with him as we all grew up. I am so saddened by his passing. My heart goes out to Aunt Joye, Uncle Bubba, Lanie, Thad and Kristi along with the whole Albrecht family. Sending you all my love and prayers. RIP Uncle Hermie.

We are so sorry to learn of Hermie's passing and wish we could be with you to offer our condolences in person. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. Hermie was a great friend to Don and he will be remembered as a kind and generous person who will be missed by many.

I was a young salesman for GP when I met Herman in 1988. He, Ben and Southern Lumber did so much for me and my career. I was fortunate enough to befriend Herman and Ben and enjoyed many trips over the years on the Southern Miss!! Some of my fondness memories of living in Charleston include Hermie. God Bless and God Rest my friend. Thank you for all you did for me.

Though not a blood brother, were brothers in the long gray line of The Citadel. I enjoyed his humor and wonderful hospitality. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

I never met Herman; but I knew him through the many conversations we had regarding purchases I made for Naval Weapons Station. Herman knew everything about lumber and what every piece of wood or attachment was for. He was a wealth of knowledge, and he always had a good sense of humor that brought light to a cloudy day. Herman will be missed by many people. May God send comfort to you, his loving family. Rest in peace, Herman.
