I remember Herman as a co worker and a good friend. Always wore a smile and had a kind word for and about all. I remember him and Helen very fondly!

Mr. Buffington was a genuine hero, a great Georgian, and head of a fine family. He will be missed.

Sorrow fills our hearts at this sad moment. Not only have I lost a personal friend, but K Company of the 96th Infantry Division has lost another esteemed and faithful members. Herman Buffington served with courage and honor. May God rest his soul. We love you all. Lester, Erelene and Brad Brown
