I always felt Herman was larger than life and looked forward to seeing him at the family reunions. My fondest memory is seeing him and Joanne on a float in the Sun Fun Parade in Myrtle Beach in 1963. WOW! I said to my buddies that's my cousin. Randy Coker Tobaccoville,NC

I remember the time that the football team at Andrews High went into his office thinking that we could persuade Mr. Cain to let one of our team members play that had been suspended.
We left out quickly with our head dropped and our tails between our legs. You did not change his mind. Ours prayers are with the family.

Farewell to a highly decorated and special WWII Veteran. Mr. Cain, as you sit above, thank you for serving our country with valor and sacrificing your health for freedom's sake. God bless you. Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the Cains when they were in Ocean Drive. The "boys" were a little older than I but remember them well.
