Cynthia and family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Herman was the nicest person that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Everything was so positive in the conversations with Herman. Please know that Earth has no sorrows that Heaven can not bear. Herman will always be in my prayers as well as you Cynthia, and your family. My God be with you in these trying times.

To the Curtis Family, My prayers and condolences are with you. I first saw Herman in the old Boston Garden playing against my high school for the state title in 1968 and having no idea that within a few months that we would be attending the same college. He was truly one of the nicest people at UMass. He will be miss but never forgotten.
