Not sure what to say?

Hermie Foss was my Grandpa Herman Schreiner's nephew. He was a wonderful, caring man who took after his uncle. I remember this one time when I was little, sitting on Hermie's lap during a service and playing with his shiny (expensive) watch. I some how ended up breaking it. My mom was so upset, but Hermie just laughed. He didn't seem to mind at all. I am sorry that my parents Micheal and Jackie Bender, my sister Melissa and I were not able to be there to say goodbye to him. Our thoughts and...

He was the only Grandpa that I ever knew. My mind is filled with fond memories of him throughout my childhood. He was a strong man and a hard worker. I loved to see him and my dad tinkering with things in his backyard. I still remember riding around in the Jalopy that he gave us. I wish that we could have visited more. He was a great man and will be missed just as greatly. My only hope is that he accepted Christ as his Savior, so that we can be reunited once again in Heaven. My prayers are...

I am Rev. Creighton Lovelace, the husband of Heather (Foss) Lovelace who is the granddaughter of the late Herman Foss. Her dad is David.

I communicated to Grandpa Foss through Heather a few times via email and she sent him pictures of us together and of our life as a couple. I had hopes of meeting him soon but now that he has passed, I know that such a meeting on this earth will not come to fruitition.

For all of you family members and friends I pray that you will draw...

Dear Herman,

You came into our lives late, and you made a lasting impression. My personal experience with you was one of a deeply caring man. God gave you some pretty bad cards from time to time, but you did not shy away. You lived life the only way you knew how; always seeking ways to make the best out of every situation. Thank you for that valuable lesson.

You visited us frequently. I remember our chats while having a beer or two on the deck. I remember the stories...

I am Thomas Foss, nephew of Herman Foss and for the last 49 years have loved and cherished my uncle. He held a very special place in my heart since he was always supportive and kind to me and my family. My kids who were never around him very much were severely impacted by his illness and then his death which shows how much he was loved and how important he was to us. We will all miss him and remember him forever. Thank you Uncle for what you have taught me!

The Darks are an extended famiy of the loving family of all the Foss family's. Our sincere prayers go out to them all.
We were blessed to know and love Herman Foss for many years, he taught our children many wonderful life long lessons. He was always loving, patient, kind, funny, supportive year after year. The many hours teaching our son to tinker on mini bikes was so precious. All of our interaction with Herman was always a lesson in life that brought many heartfelt memories of...

I am Amy Stickney's Aunt and if his grandson Nate Makinen is anything like his Grandpa, then Grandpa Herman was a special man indeed.
There is something comforting in knowing that those we love live on in our hearts, in our memories and in those who follow behind them.
With sympathy from,
"Aunt Bj & Uncle Chuck"

I am Amy Stickney's Grandmother. I was so sorry to hear earlier of Nate's Grandfather's illness and his recent death. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Norma Verduin
