Dear Ruth,
I just learned about the passing of Mr. Howard and I was so saddened to hear about it. My thoughts immediately went to you and all the stories you shared with me about him and your state of Tennessee. The few times I was in his company, he was so pleasant and it was obvious how much he loved you and his family. We were so sorry to hear about the death of Mr Howard. We recall our meeting him and Ruth at Valeries graduation party. We enjoyed talking with him, well versed in many subjects. He was so comfortable to engage and so interesting. We felt the love for him from your family. We are thinking of the whole family with sympathy and wishing you peace and comfort as you cherish your memories of him.

Dear Mrs. Howard/Annette/Lynn: I am deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Howard's passing. He was such a big part of my christian growth in my youth. I am sure the Lord has looked upon his face and said, "well done my good and faithful servant." He, like my dad, lived his life for his eternity. He is now truly where he belongs. It was very sad to read of your father's passing. I will never forget Mr. Howard because he attended every single field trip we ever took in school and I used to always think about how lucky you were. You will be in my thoughts.
