Herman G. ?Scott? Metzger, III, of Perkasie and formerly of Huntingdon Valley, PA, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from injuries he sustained while working. He was 49.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Herman George and Jane Elizabeth (Finley) Metzger, Jr. He was a 1981 graduate of Lower Moreland High School. He went on to complete the Electrician program at the Eastern Vocational School.
He worked as a Certified Electrician and was a member of I.B.E.W. 380, Allentown, PA for over 20 years.

Scott loved the outdoors, fishing, golfing, and playing softball. He loved motorcycles, classic cars, listening to Led Zepplin and traveling around the United States. He was also a sports fan, and enjoyed watching and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and Phillies. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Audrey E. Metzger, of Perkasie and a son, Kevin S. Metzger and his Fiancée Amanda Orgiefsky, of Ivyland, PA; four sisters, Nancy Flack and her husband Rob, of Quakertown, Patricia Perry, of Big Pine Key, FL, Donna Freed and her husband Rick, of Stafford, VA and Kathy Keough and her husband Dave, of Nockamixon Twp. PA and his nieces and nephews, Zach Feed and his wife Julia, Kristen Freed, Kate Cardenas and her husband Max, Kennan Perry, Andy, Kyle, and Sarah Keough.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM or Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.

Scott was my brother from another mother think about him all the time to this day. I think about all the things we could have been doing had he still been alive. As soon as I met Scott we became fast Friends I think that was 1979. Many great adventures back in the day together. Robin and I always loved Scott and we'll miss him forever.!

I still miss my brother Scotty AKA Chunks to this very day. One of the most humorous sobs I ever met in my life. Along with being a great friend and an honest down-to-earth human being.

Thank you very, very much everyone for your heartfelt thoughts and prayers expressed in Scott's guestbook. Thet are a comfort. We all still miss him as you do, I'm sure. God is Love and Love never ends as our loving memories of our Scott endure forever. May God the Father amd His Son, Jesus, bless and keep each and every one of you and all others who loved my brother.

I MISS you Sooo VERY MUCH, Scott! I LOVED having you for my one and only BROTHER and you were a GOOD n GRACIOUS Brother to me while here on God's Earth!! You watched over me on our hikes and made me laugh so hard I'd be crying! I'll never forget you singing the munchkin songs from the Wizard of Oz to all the kids (and us)! It never failed to put us into hysterics!! Really Bummed we won't be going to the Badland, the Dakotas and more out west but look forward to spending FOREVER with you...
