Herman A. Padgett

Mr. Padgett was a wonderful vocational teacher at Dixon High School. He was extremely knowledgeable of the wood working and construction skills that he taught to all of us in his classes. We both enjoyed and counted on learning from him daily, as well as sharing in his quick witted jokes whenever things were slowing down at the end of our classes. He will be greatly missed.

Herman was the most skilled vocational instructor at Dixon High School, and probably the best in Onslow County. I enjoyed many conversations with him at lunch time on campus back in the 80s and 90s. He will likely never be forgotten by any of the students who learned all types of wood working skills under his tutelage. Best regards and memories to his family.
