Dear Vera and Family - Dave & I returned home from Peru today and learned Herman had died. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.Nancy, Peggy and I always referred to Herman as our BIG brother. Imagine having three little "sisters" under foot and in your hair as you try to study. Mom and Dad loved Herman as their own and we truly loved having him in our home and in our hearts.

Aunt Vera and family, Families move on and separate, but are always attached by heartstrings. Now is a time to reflect on the good of past memories and the good that Uncle Herman left behind. Know that he is being met by the greatest on the otherside. Love and prayers are with you at this time and always.

Dear Aunt Vera and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. It has been a long time since any of us saw you two. I think the last time I visited you was in 1998, and that was very brief. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers. I will think of Uncle Herman everytime I go in to DC and see the Korean War Memorial. I did not know he was an Army Veteran.
