Not sure what to say?

Mr. Prins was my 4th grade teacher at Bowen Elementary School in Kentwood, Mi during the 1976/1977 school year. I was a very quiet and shy student but he helped me come out of my shell. Condolences to his family.

Uncle Herm was a treasure. I have many fond memories of him and his family. He was a great brother to my dad and we so enjoyed cousin time with his kids. He had so many great stories and life experiences. My kids to this day enjoy hearing me talk about some of Herms adventures in life. His faith in Christ and surety of his salvation was admirable. I see that he wanted to be remembered as a devout servant to Christ and a loving father/grandfather. That is exactly how I remember him. He...

I knew Herm As the father of my beloved friend Doug, his son. Doug and I met in 1976. I loved his dad right from the beginning although he was the true definition of a quirky character. I use the word "quirky" in a good sense. He was one of the only adults I knew who still absolutely loved the outdoors and to the end maintained his wonderful curiosity about the natural world. I met Herm at green acres and became good freinds. we shared a lot of things together. i will truly miss him.

Mr. Prins was my first male teacher, and I was worried about that at the time. However, my year with him in 4th grade was AWESOME! He made me feel like I had something worthwhile to say in my writing and in our conversations. Sending his family my sincere condolences. Denise Herrmann Saganski 4th grade 1972 - 1973

That was the last time I thought about him and remember thinking that I hadn´t thought of him in a a long time. I recall him hearing the train from 44th and Kalamazoo and that he spoke to us about how he loved hearing the trains in the distance because it reminded him of his...
