Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers are with you Ann for you and your family. I remember you well from the Austin Congregational Church. Always enjoyed the compositions Herman sent each Christmas. I remembered our visit in Sauk City where I was after giving a chalk talk there.
My brother Vernon saw him this year
near where he lives in River Forest.
I just found his obit 11-29. My Lois passed away May 12, 2007. Learning to live alone.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Mr. Spier touched me, my brothers and sisters, and all the Moore family as a music educator at the Austin Academy of Fine Arts. I will never forget him or what I learned through him.

I have so many wonderful memories of lessons at the Academy with Mr. Spier. He helped me appreciate the wonders of music through his enthusiasm, warmth, and sensitivity. My mother and siblings all extend our sympathies and are grateful for having had the privilege of knowing him back in the 60's.
Elizabeth (Moore) Mackenzie and family

Mr. Spier, you will always be in our hearts and memories of all you taught us about music at the Austin Academy. Our hearts and prayers go out to your family and friends.

Bud, Pat, Linda and Loren Harman(Students)
Phyllis and Lloyd Harman (parent)

We have fond memories of Herman. He was just like family to us.
Our deepest sympathies, Anne.
Pat Swanson & Donna Murphy

Rik, Laura, family and friends. Wishing you days ahead of calm and quite, comfort and healing. My deepest sympathies,
Karen Seltzer

Please accept my sympathy for your loss, and remember that his spirit lives on in the devotion he inspired in others. While I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Spier I feel that over the years I have come to know him through Gretta. Some reflection of what he brought to the world will remain in the light he has always brought to Gretta's eyes whenever she speaks of her father.

Rik, Laura and Family: What a life of celebration! We are grieving with you in his loss. You are in our hearts and prayers. If possible, we will try to get to the memorial services. "Death ends a life but not a relationship." Alleluia! Gail and Paul Smith

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
