Ms. Fauntleroy, I remember fondly how kind you and your husband were when we all attended an education convention in Toronto about 25 years ago. The two of you took me under your wing and invited me to join you for all of our activities. My mother and I, both retired teachers, remember him as a wonderful and tireless leader of the Southside UniServ unit. What a...

I am extremely saddened to hear of the loss of my Fraternity Brother, who was such a great Omega man. With my growing up in Petersburg as a child, he was truly a great example of what it meant to be a "Strong Black Man."

I would like to say to his family members - that pain you feel now - "shall pass," but the fond memories you will have of him will last with you for a lifetime.

My prayers are with you during this time of such a great loss to the family members, as well...

To the Family,
The lost of Mr. Fauntleroy sadden my heart but I know he is resting now. I will always have found memories of him and happy that he was a part of my life. I was his assistant for over 20 years and learned so much from him and Germaine.

My prayers are with you.

To the Fauntleroy Family:

It was an honor to attend yesterday's wonderful tribute to Hermanze. I will never forget his help in my political campaign 40 years ago and our recent consultations on oral histories of the civil rights movement. I am one of the many for whom he was a true hero.

My prayers are with you.

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING THIS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT, DISTINGUISH GENTLEMAN. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY. FOR HE IS NOW WITH THE LORD.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family, friends and residents of Petersburg I submit these words for my lifelong friend, mentor, educator and Mayor Mr H. E. Fauntleroy, I offer my heartfelt prayers. I shall miss you dearly. May your home going be loving, regal and filled with fond memories by all. Thank yor for your service. PEACE Jesse C. Williams Los Angeles, CA

I want to say that my heart goes out to the family at this time. He definitely touched a lot of lives. It will be hard but just remember those wonderful times that you all had with him and it will bring a smile.
