Herwig Bader

I remember a time in 1963 when my family had moved to Raleigh N.C. with 5 kids, one a newborn. My 4 year old got appendicitis and was hospitalized. Things were pretty hectic and I was a bit crazy when out of the blue, with no notice this smiling soldier appeared at my door, my cousin Herwig! He baby sat so i could be at the hospital, cleaned my kitchen and enthralled my kids. He was already an angel way back then.

I worked with Henry for all his years at the Village of Fayettville wonderful guy will be sorely missed taught me a lot.

Herwig always made me giggle as a child, and always made me laugh out loud as an adult. You will be missed by so many. Your contributions to your family and those who were fortunate to meet you as a friend, have influenced so many in countless ways. You and Brigitta are role models for parenting and kindness in the world. Auf Wiedersehen dear cousin.

We had the pleasure of meeting Monica´s dad during their visit to Copenhagen. Our sincere condolences for your loss. May the great memories of your lives together stay with you always.
