Not sure what to say?

He knew everything about Seattle. You’d be driving around and see something interesting and he could tell you all about it. Incredible artist! My favorite story was the one about the time his mom shot a rabbit with a revolver. I think there was a photo to go with that.

We were sorry to hear of Hewitt's passing. Our family has known the Jacksons for many years having grown up in Bellevue.
We are all fortunate to have several original pictures that Hewitt drew, also a set of 4 color prints.
During a trip returning from Washington to California I had a chance to stop at the Maratime Museum in Astoria, Or. and saw pictures he had on display.
During trips to Washington we would visit Hewitt and enjoyed the many stories he told.

When Hewitt and Phoebe married, I also took care of Hewitt's cats. I feel privileged to have seen the many...

The boat is on a open stretch of ocean with enormous cotton ball clouds behind it, throwing the rigging into sharp silhouette. Your dad noted on the back that the ship was in the process of shortening sail after...

Dad always had a story to tell about the people he met and the things that he did. It was usually well embellished and quite humorous. I am sure that many people have stories to tell about him and we are hoping that you will share them with us.
