Lincoln – Hilda T. (Garvin) Miles, 93, of Wake Robin Road and formerly of Carriage Drive died Tuesday, July 15 at Mount St. Francis Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late William J. Miles, Jr.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Clemens) Garvin, she had lived in Quincy, Massachusetts for 5 years, returning to Pawtucket in 1942. She has lived in Lincoln since 1968.

Mrs. Miles worked in the records department of the former Blackstone Valley Gas & Electric Company for many years, retiring in 1971.

She is survived by a daughter, Janis Miles of Lincoln; a son and daughter-in-law, William J. Miles III and Sandra Miles of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Claire Garvin.

The funeral will be held Friday, July 18 at 9 A.M. from the Bellows-Falso Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
