Dear Teresa

I am so sorry to read of Hilda's passing. You see, I, too, met Hilda shortly after my mastectomy. She sold me my new hair and my first new appendage. But more than that she became my friend, my new sister. Several years after my cancer, my husband and I retired to Florida, where we still live and every year when we come back to Virginia to visit family, I make it a point to go to the shop to see Hilda. That is how I came to find the news of...

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know until today that your mother had passed. She was so kind to me when I lost my hair to chemo. She helped me pick out a wig and even shaved my head when the time came. She was always so kind and cheerful and I will miss her. This is a loss to the Roanoke community and to future cancer patients. May God bless you and your family!

To Hilda's friends and family:

I am so sorry to hear of Hilda's passing. She was a nice woman and I enjoyed speaking with her when placing her wig orders.

I hope you all find comfort in the memories you have.

Hilda was a very special person - she always made me smile when I heard her voice. I will miss talking with her but will always remember her kind spirit.

Theresa, Emily, Cathy, and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Your mother was more than a customer to me. She was a very dear friend and a very caring lady. I will miss her so much.
