Funeral for Hilda Jewel Singleton, 83, of Hartselle will be Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 11 a.m. at New Center Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in New Center Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Singleton, who died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born February 29, 1928, in Morgan County to the late Richard McKinley Blankenship and Alcie Mae Maples Blankenship. She was a member of New Center Baptist Church. She retired as a dietary supervisor from Hartselle Medical Center. Her husband, Alvis Singleton, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, C.L. Moore of Hartselle; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cocke, Mike Graham, Kent King, Tyler Stinson, Gary Mack Blankenship and Von Yeager.
