Not sure what to say?

I never had the honor, but heard so many wonderful things about Hilda from those who had the good fortune of meeting her. Much love to Hilda’s entire family.

For all who have asked about the funeral Mass for my mother, it will be at 10 am on Saturday, Jan. 21 at St. Andrew Church in NE Portland: https://standrewchurch.com/funerals/

As part of your extended family, Richard, Lesley, and I enjoyed our visits with Hilda, her smile and sparkling eyes, always so friendly and happy to see us. We will always have fond memories of her. Our thoughts are with you Stern and Galian families as you go through this sad time and adjust to life without your dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Feel blessed by the good memories you have of her. With sympathy and sincere wishes to all of you, Susan and Lesley

The only pause in the culinary action was the 1 hour of Guiding Light and Hilda's beautiful voice expressing her...

Your Mom always called me Ricky and was so gracious and open to all of my family through these many years. I can remember dinners at your home and trips to the coast. She was a special lady who always reached out to my Mom following the passing of our father. I believe the family friends are all together now, Hilda, Louis, Joe, Ralph, Anne and Floyl. My sincere sympathies to you all and we will always remember Hilda as being such a gracious lady.
