I'm sorry to hear that Hildegarde passed away. She was the first person who welcomed me and my husband into the neighborhood in September 1991. I recall the many talks we had about her teaching days, husband Claude, her children & grandkids, the many trips she took with Carol & Henry and the towns of Western Springs/Westchester. In 2007 my husband died and then I lost the best neigbor anyone could ask for when her house was sold. It truly was a blessing to know...
