Not sure what to say?

A piece of Hoby is in so many women I know and love. He helped them to reach their potential with a rare combination of fun, encouragement and structure. none of that would have been possible without Hoby and Norma. The best childhood days for most of those women, generally, and for me, specifically, were our days at Point O' Pines, the camp of our dreams. Hoby, thank you for everything you did to make that dream come true for so many girls. xo

Hoby, out of the American Southwest you plucked me to come teach and coach tennis at your magical camp in the Adirondack Mts. What an experience, what a mentor! Your guidance, gentle sternness, enthusiasm, esprit de corps, insistence on good manners and wry humor taught thousands of girls important life lessons. I will never forget the countless hours of tennis during POP rest hours and your enthusiasm for a life well-lived. Thank you! On you go, Hoby, on you go!

Our sad hearts are filled with precious indelible memories of Hoby, our POP Patriarch. Spirit, friendship and creativity have linked the generations he touched. We have an everlasting connection. Uncle Hoby, we love you. We celebrate you and your legacy forever.

In our rush to get his story posted quickly, we listed the date of passing as June 19 instead of the correct May 19! Wishful thinking perhaps?

Because of these brave men who went off to war at such a young age many know freedom. You now go on to be with your comrades in arms.Thank you for your service.
A grateful American
