Not sure what to say?

I think about Brook often and all he contributed to the world of science. I remember the days in hemophilia camp, Brook and my son Michael played, went swimming and most importantly talked to each other, just boys being boys. A true loss and will never be forgotten..

You're the Best!

I mainly knew Holbrook as an advisor in the developments in his specialty of immune-oncology. However I quickly developed extreme level of respect for him not only as a person, but as someone who was making very real and important benefits to field of medicine and to mankind as a whole.

The learning of his passing hit me with a wave of sadness. The type of sadness one feels with the loss leader or military officer. Holbrook was a rare, driven leader in the pursuit of making...

So very sad when I heard.

I first met Brook many years ago as he spoke to the Lake Ariel Lions Club. He and his mother stressed the importance of donating blood to The American Red Cross. His ability to speak to a group of adults was amazing. Although only a pre-teen he was candid and very impressive on the topic. It is because of Brook that I have donated whole blood and platelets continually since that day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

What an amazing, brilliant light in the world he was. I did not know him, but when I read his obituary I was overwhelmed with what he did with his life cut short, My deepest sympathy to all who loved him such a loss for the world, really.

Alan, what a wonderful story of a brilliant young man. I am so sorry for your loss and that of the world's too. My prayers, meri armour

I worked with Alan many years ago on a maternal/child health planning committee and knew of this young mans nerly childhood struggles with this terrible illness. When I read this yesterday, I was struck with his courage and goodness in turning his suffering toward helping others. He was a hero. While I know his family must be in terrible pain, I also know that all of you must also be very, very proud.

We wish we knew how to make this better. We have followed his research from afar and realize we all lost when Brook died. Wasn't it just yesterday that our boys were playing in your side yard? Be strong.
