Holly Duncan passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006, one day after being struck by another vehi
cle while she was going to work. She was 21 years old. She was born in Lodi, but lived most of her life in Stockton. She graduated from Linden High, class of 2002. She worked with her father at Holly's Heavy Haul Trucking, but her true passion and vocation was the work that she did at the Delta Humane Society. Her life was dedicated to finding homes for and caring for hundreds of animals. She is survived by her loving parents, Rick and Sandy Duncan of Stockton; her brother, Nick Duncan also of Stockton; grand parents, Cora and Jack Duncan of Stockton; great-grandmother, Mae Wells of AR, and aunts, uncles, cousins and her close friends at the animal shelter. Her beloved Great Dane, Anubis is also left behind to grieve her loss. Her grandmother Mona Veazey precedes her in death. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 at Harney Lane in Lodi. Visitation will take place from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way at Beckman Rd. in Lodi. Donations may be made in her memory to the Delta Humane Society, 4590 S.
