Holly Glen Gearhart

I think of Holly frequently because I use a photograph that she took of me as a profile pic on one of my social media accounts. It was for a project she organized in collaboration with local poets. It was a project that empowered me, which she captured in the photo. I also remember helping her with her mother´s funeral reception. I think we had similar mother/daughter relationships, which was one way we understood each other. When Holly moved to Seattle, I hoped it would open a new chapter...

Dear Audrey and Family.....Holly and her Mom were loved by me and my family. We remember her photos of all the trees around Rice University, and so much of her work. Holly´s was always a delight to be around. Sending my deepest sympathies for all of you, and gratitude for knowing Holly. God bless you all.

My condolences to Holly's loved ones. Holly was one of my Saint Agnes Academy students and an avid photographer even then. She generously volunteered her talents to our community during our centennial celebration in 1983. I will always remember her interest in assisting us. May she rest in peace. Sr. Heloise Cruzat, O.P.
