Not sure what to say?

Knew her at AG's office in Alabama when she was working for the late Redding Pitt. I told him she was in Mobile when he asked. RiP to both.

To Holly's family and friends, we were classmates at BU Law School. I remember her well and that she was funny and fun loving and a breath of fresh air to break the pressure and tedium of law school. She had a great career as I learned from reading her obituary. My sympathy to her family and friends.

The world has lost a bright light. I too knew Holly from law school. Yes, she did make a lot of pecan pies striving to perfect her crust. I think those pies were meant to pay homage to her southern heritage. I remember she often arrived late to class lugging in her hockey gear and never seemed to study as much as the rest of us but still excelled. She was a brilliant and sensitive writer. We talked in February around Holly's birthday about her coming to visit me in Los Angeles sometime in June, after her planned trip to Spain. All that was postponed of course. We often talked about cooking - in law school when we lived together second year, Holly made every kind of pecan pie imaginable until she got it right - chocolate, peanut butter and plain...

Oh dear... sadness. I immediately remembered sitting in the lawn with her and talking about family, relationships, sewing, singing, and children. She was a beautiful force. Her life and career took the need to nurture and protect in a beautiful direction. How fortunate for those she helped, and for her. I loved hearing her sing so loud and clear from across the way.

Holly was our neighbor for many years in Silver Spring, MD. Two favorite memories. The first, how proud she was of finally making the Princeton women's ice hockey team after learning to skate. Second, in the middle of a big snowstorm when all of us had lost power, she invited the neighbors to trudge over bringing their food so that we could all cook and celebrate together. Indeed she had a generous heart.

She was a spectacularly creative woman. I enjoyed her way of expressing life and supportive friendship. I miss her smile and stories. My thoughts are with all those people who were touched with her kindness and miss her as I do.
