My husband's dad, Bill Yarbrough, was also a resident and was a former naval pilot during WWII. It is so difficult to lose these last ones of that generation. Your family is in our prayers.

May God comfort you in the loss of your loved one. I was amazed to open the Beacon today and see the Dille name, as I worked with your mother, Laura Dille back in the sixties at the Department of public aid. She was my mentor at work and most importantly in my Christian walk. My children and I enjoyed visits at her home on Buell as she shared news of her family and letters from missionaries. She also shared plantings from her garden and I still have irises that bloom every spring. So you...
