Dear Jon, Elaine, and Lois:
My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies are with you and your families during this difficult time. I had no idea your mom had passed away, as well. Your father was key in the development of my spirituality as a child and teenager. I praise God for the gift of your parents’ devotion and ministry to the Claridon UCC and community. I give thanks for all the ways in which Homer taught me and other younger clergy the meaning of acting justly, loving tenderly, and walking humbly with God.

Elaine, my deepest prayers and sympathies to you and your family. I did not know that your mom passed away this year as well. Your dad must have missed her very much and now he is with her. I pray that that fact of faith will bring you comfort as you mourn both of them.

Jon, Elaine, and Lois, my prayers are with you. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. It was a pleasure to know your parents. They will surely be missed. Your dad was a constant pillar in my life, as I'm sure he was for many.

Our deepest sympathy to the Kopke Family on the loss of Homer.
