Not sure what to say?

I'm forever grateful I got to know Homer. He was a mentor to my three children. They played on the basketball team that Homer taught through the church. They would help him with neighborhood beautifying projects. He taught them the true meaning of helping your fellow man. He gave so much of himself never asking for anything in return. I will forever carry him close to my heart. I also will keep his wife, Doris, sons and family in my thoughts and prayers. May you now rest in peace,...

I have pondered on what to say about Homer since I met him only once that I recall. RIP Homer. In my humble opinion, the Smith family is the 1st family of Manistee. Betty and/or Ann was my caretaker as a young child. Pat and Allen were classmates at both MHS and MSU. Ray always called me sugar. What a grand family!

What Accomplishments Homer received! I remember going to his dad Ray and Annie's home taking care of their insurance at least 6 times a year! How proud mom and dad were of you! In FACT ALL of your siblings! I am the same age as Alan and I knew Pat and Clinton also! God Bless you and may you rest in peace!!
