To JoAnn and Family
I was in shock to here of Homer's passing. I took care of him at Raybrook on the third floor for a couple of years and he was a special individual and i got to know his wife and couple of the family. God bless you Homer and family

To the VanderMey Family. My sincere sympathy extended to you also.I had Homer for my teacher in Baxter Christian school in the 1940`s.Wonderful teacher.

To the VanderMey family,
So sorry to hear of Coach Vander Mey's death. Not only was he a literate, eloquent man, but as a baseball coach--we took first place in city in '63--he could kick up dust with the best of them. Many times he charged out to argue with umpires with his timely opening line, "I beg to disagree!" When we were 2-3 early in the season, he called a team meeting and said, "Men, we can win if we rely on our native skills." And he once turned to me, his neophyte...

I loved his quiet, dry wit and intelligence. We'll miss him.

To the Vander Mey Family
So sorry to read about your loss.Mr.Vander Mey was my English teacher at GRCHS.I was in his class when they announced that President Kennedy had been shot.We had a student teacher at that time. What a day--we will all remember.
Our sincerest Christian sympathy to all of you.
Lovingly,
