Not sure what to say?

“Coach” was how I knew Judge Romano back in the 80’s. He coached our YMCA team like we were legitimate little league contenders. He ran strict but fun practices. We were the only team that had a 3rd base coach giving us signs. He even took us to the batting cages and I’m pretty sure he paid for it out of his own pocket. We had pool parties at his house and I swear he grilled the best hot dogs ever. I pitched and played first base for Coach Romano. For any of the family who may be reading this...

Truly, a wonderful person and gentlemen! May he Rest-In-Peace and his family cherish his memory!

I ran KCCT for over 30 years and we handled many of the judges probations. He was probably the toughest, but ultimately fairest of the Jackson County judges. He had a reputation as a tough Judge which meant that we had very low recidivism out of his division. Defendants respected his toughness. He had a real impact on defendants. He also could be open to suggestions on Defendants who had special learning issues. He took his job seriously and I’m sure slept well at night.

So sorry for your loss Tony...Janet..lost mom in July..call if you want..816.274.2238..luvs to you and your family.

Marjorie, Cathy, and To, I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Judge Romano's passing. I've thought of him and the family many times over the years. He was tough, but always fair and just in his rulings. He also insisted on respect for the position he held. I learned a lot from him when I was his Chief Clerk back in the 90s. I still have the gold bracelet he gave me when I left. He was a lot of fun outside of the courts, which sadly, not many people got to see. He was extremely kind and...

Marjorie and Toe - I just heard about this and I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with your family during this time. I have so many memories working for him. Hugs to you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It was an honor to know Judge Romano.
