Honorable Robert Alan Junell

With Senator Royce West, then Senator Robert Junell was responsible for funding and the establishment of the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP). As admissions dean at the UTHSCSA medical school (now Long School of Medicine) he stated, "good kids from west Texas are not getting into medical school, and we need doctors". His legacy lives on in many "good kids from West Texas" who are now physicians serving the communities in west Texas.

I am so sorry to hear about Robert. My condolences to the family. Beverly was my cousin and always spoke so highly of her family.
