My sincere condolences to the family of Horace Collier. I feel privileged to have worked with a man of such integrity and compassion. I know, Horace, that you are in the very presence of Jesus now; peace and comfort are yours as promised!

In tears I saw you sinking,
I watched you fade away.
You suffered much in silence,
you fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage.
Your spirit did not bend,
and still you kept on fighting until the very end.
God saw you getting tired.
When a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me".
So when I saw you sleeping So peaceful, free from pain.
I could not wish you back
to suffer that again.

Life on earth seems more involved
Endless problems that cannot be solved
In times as these let's steal away
Bow our heads in solitude and pray
Just close our eyes and open our heart
All worries and cares will soon depart

As we yield ourselves to God above
He will hold us secure in HIS love
When we are tired, afraid or alone
Thinking our life has gone all wrong
Then we see an open door of Prayer
Knowing God is waiting for us there


He only asks us...
