Horace Cooper Dennis, 74, a 45-year resident of Dallas, Georgia, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a teacher for more than 50 years in Georgia’s public schools who became a facilities specialist with the State Department of Education, died at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, on Wednesday, September 27, 2000. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2000, 11 a.m., at Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, 4373 Atlanta Highway, Hiram, Georgia, officiated by the Rev. Paul Dennis. Interment will be at Paulding Memorial Gardens, Hiram. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Dallas Lions Club Scholarship Fund, c/o Harold Peterson Sect./Tres, 2154 Bobo Road, Dallas, GA 30132.

Horace was a great friend and co- worker with me and the Catoosa County School System. He was always helpful in all areas dealing with our facilities. My deepest sympathy to the family.
