Horace, your mentoring and inclusion into many of our endeavors have stuck with me for years - I sincerely thank you. I loved our donut lunches - they provided a gastronomic awakening and a restaurant grading system that I still use. I had hoped to have found you earlier so that you and my wife Laura could have met. You are always in my heart.

Today, in reading about you, you became not one of my best childhood friend's dad, but the man, Horace Enea...your brilliance, your interests, your creativity, your sweet, romantic side has made you a much fuller and richer man that just my friend's dad. I met your family when I was about six years old, and today, I feel like I finally met you. Horace and Anne were among our first friends when we moved to the San Jose area. What a surprise to discover that we had done business with Horace's company, Heuristic's, when we were still in the US government. We will miss Horace, and send our condolences to his family.

I will miss our visits and talks. I learned so much from you and enjoyed sharing your passions for language, books, science, computing, music, gourmet cooking, and so much more.

I enjoyed discussing our wives, sisters Ann and Carolyn. They both came out looking great for putting up with the two of us when we shared time in Mexico looking at the bay, talking, and reading while they took care of feeding us.
