Not sure what to say?

You meet a few people in life that make an instant impression, and Horace was one of those special few. He was a generous, intelligent, personable, fun-loving, thoughtful man that I considered a good friend from our first meeting. I suppose our southern roots made friendship that much easier. He introduced me to the fine art of brewing chicory coffee to the consistency of molasses. Nobody could make it like Horace. I'll always remember that sight-seeing trip in the old Imperial. What a ride,...

Horace was the best boss I ever had the pleasure to work with while at Brown & Root so many years ago. He became a dear friend and will be personally remembered by the index card file he had stuffed with of all of his jokes. I would hear him laughing by himself in his office while sorting through the history of laughs he collected over the years. The joy he brought to so many will be remembered and my heart goes out to his children I had the pleasure to meet in the 1980's.

What a great guy to play handball with. he was tough and will be missed.
