Not sure what to say?

Fond memories of Mr. Mahon as my math teacher and coach for the winning and undefeated 1968 basketball team my brother DeRoy "Machine" Jackson happily played. Thank you Mr. Mahon. Blessings to family.

Just cruising internet saw this.....hoddy as my dad called him was one of the better umps in SWS LL...loved being on the mound with him behind the plate...ironically saw him and clammed up when we had floor seats at big east '81 championship at the garden when he was coaching "the hall"...these thoughts came to me as I turned on the tube today as my fav st. John's was playing seton hall....RIP hoddy.....shout out to JP and family....bob bart 12-11-20

I had the privilege to play for coach Mahon during my junior year at William Paterson College in 1985. He was an outstanding man, coach and teacher. I was always impressed with the consistency and compassion he demonstrated. Coach Mahon taught life lessons and commanded respect and admiration. I was honored to play for him, learn from him and become a better man because of him. RIP coach.

To the Mahon family,
My condolences for your loss. He was my little league baseball coach in 1960 at Soveral field. A good man.

To the Mahon family
My condolences for the lost of a great teacher and coach. Hoddy and I taught math at OHS and I was the cheerleading coach during the beginning years of his coaching career with the Tornados. He was a true professional who earned respect in the classroom and on the court.

Josephine I am here if you need to talk I know what you are going through my prayers are with you and the Mahon Family

We were sad to hear of Hoddy's passing and want to thank his family for the pleasure of his company over the years. He lived and shaped his personal and professional life with the values he had learned and then shared those with his family, friends and students. We'll miss you Hoddy.

To Hoddy, Josephine and Hoddy's wonderful family,
I just received the news of Hoddy's passing. At the moment, I am at a loss of words but I can tell you that the 3 years I worked for Hoddy as his assistant coach at Upsala College were the three best years of my life. I had so much fun. My only regret was not staying in touch with Hoddy like I should have. Please forgive me! It really hurt when I left Jersey. He was a great man who left me with an everlasting impression of how to be...
