Mr.Moore was my Math teacher at Lawson State Community College. He was a excellent instructor in the classroom. He knew his subject matter. He made sure you understood the math concept before moving on. He provided tutoring and showed a lot of patience for the old heads that been out the classroom for a long time. Mr. Moore go take your rest. A job well done on this earth. You will be sorely miss.

Mr. Moore was a was a great teacher period. I will always treasure the memories of being in the band and his geography class. Words can´t express the love that many in the East Birmingham and Alberta Shields School felt for him. Whenever he was present at an event, every former student wanted to take a picture with him.

My condolences to the Moore Family. Mr. Moore was my music teacher when I attended Alberta Shields School in East Birmingham. He was a great teacher but he didn't play. When he sat next to you and tapped his stick against the chair to keep time, you better get it right. LOL. He taught me how to play a clarinet and read music, and prepared me to become a member of the Hayes High School Pacesetters band. RIP in peace Mr. Horace "Wonderful" Moore.
